Learning Spaces
MODERN AND INVITING
Our school comprises a large two-storey building with classrooms lining both the upstairs and downstairs corridors. Specialist facilities in this building include a Flexible Learning Space for computing and 3D printing and a Visual Arts room. Each of our classrooms are fitted with cutting-edge Interactive Screens that provide teachers and students alike with the ability to innovate and engage with their learning.
STEM CENTRE, PERFORMING ARTS AND GYMNASIUM
Our Specialist Teachers are well equipped to teach students in their respective Curriculum areas.
Our STEM Centre comprises a Dry Investigation Space for scientific inquiry and digital technologies, a Discovery Centre which houses our books and readers and provides students with a comfortable and engaging library space, a Wet Investigation Space for hands-on learning and design engineering, a Dark Room for exploring the wonders of light and colour, and a Presentation Space for small group and meeting facilities.
The Performing Arts room has been recently renovated with the installation of stage curtains which allow students to practice their performance skills in an authentic setting. The space also contains a large range of musical instruments and room to move during Dance and Drama.
The Gymnasium contains a full-size Basketball court and a fully stocked storage facility. This space provides ample room for students to move and engage in Physical Education as well as host whole school assemblies and events.
DISCOVERY CENTRE
The Pennington School R – 6 Discovery Centre provides a welcoming, user-friendly environment, promoting a “reading culture” and opportunities for students to engage with different forms of literature and information literacy skills with confidence. Our wide range of relevant resources and technologies support both the curriculum and the recreational needs of our students.
ICT
Pennington R-6 offers students a range of digital technology experiences. Students use an age appropriate range of coding programs, robotics and 3D modelling to engage their creativity and minds. Through the use of digtial technologies, students can augment their learning and become better digital citizens as they grow into an ever-evolving technological world.
